As the natural state, there are a ton of places to have an adventure elopement in Arkansas. Sarah & Will said I do in an absolutely beautiful part of Arkansas. Sam’s Throne. One of my top locations for an adventure elopement.
Sarah & Will traveled from Houston Texas with a couple of their friends to enjoy the beautiful scenery & mountain climbing Arkansas has to offer. They rented a Cabin in the Ozarks which allowed them to explore so much!
On the drive up, the sky was looking a bit scary & gray, so I had truly hoped that once we had gone through the mountains, that the sky would finally clear. Sure enough, it did!! – I don’t know why, but each time I have gone to Sam’s Throne, it has been rainy & dark, but as soon as I get up to the overlook, the weather is perfect. PLUS we had a crazy ass snow storm just 1 week before their wedding!! WHAT!!!! Snow-megadden of 2021. Can you even tell???
The skies cleared & just the right amount of wind made this day. I don’t know what it is about wind, but it honestly adds a beautiful element of romance to images. – I mean LOOK at these !! Sarah’s wind kissed hair.. ugh! so freakin perfect!!!!
There are so many locations on the drive to Sam’s Throne that are perfect for some “abandoned” location portraits. Not only is this particular area perfect for an Adventure Elopement in Arkansas, but there are so many things to explore along the way in & out of this area. The buffalo river is a short drive from here as well! (I think its tied for my top outdoor location to elope in arkansas)
Not going to lie, but I am so thankful to live in an area with so much beauty. This location is perfect year round!!
