A Fine Art Ringling Museum Wedding in Sarasota
There are weddings — and then there weddings at The Ringling Museum. This beautiful Ringling Museum Wedding took place at one of Sarasota’s most iconic venues, where historic grandeur meets artistic sophistication. For couples who value intentional design, legacy-level imagery, and immersive guest experiences, the Ringling is a masterpiece.
This celebration unfolded like a fine art editorial.
The day began with modern, stylish preparations at The Sarasota Modern Hotel. Guests then gathered for an oceanfront ceremony at Ca’ d’Zan, followed by a refined cocktail hour on the Bolger Campiello. A private stroll through the North Gallery offered a curated cultural experience before dinner was served beneath the statues of the Ringling Courtyard. This Ringling Museum wedding was truly one of a kind.
Morning Moments at The Sarasota Modern
A Stylish Start at a Boutique Sarasota Hotel
The couple chose The Sarasota Modern for their wedding morning — a chic, design-forward boutique hotel in the Rosemary District. The aesthetic: elevated minimalism with clean architectural lines, perfect for editorial-style getting ready moments. With champagne on ice, custom welcome boxes, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, the day began in style.
The bride wore a sculptural, fashion-forward gown paired with gold earrings and a soft chignon — modern yet timeless. The groom looked sharp in a custom tuxedo with satin lapels and a bow tie, nodding to old-world elegance with a contemporary twist.
Ceremony: Oceanfront Vows at Ca’ d’Zan
A Sunset Setting on the Terrace : Ringling Museum Wedding
Guests gathered on the Ca’ d’Zan Terrace for an open-air ceremony that overlooked the shimmering Gulf, where the ocean breeze and golden light created an unforgettable setting. With waves gently crashing in the background and the golden sun beginning its descent, the couple exchanged vows framed by a custom floral arch in warm, romantic tones. The scene was nothing short of cinematic.
Chivari chairs lined the aisle, accented with trailing florals. A violinist played modern classics, setting a tone of elevated serenity.
Cocktail Hour on the Bolger Campiello + A Private Gallery Walk
A Private Gallery Experience at The Ringling
Afterward, they made their way to cocktail hour on the Bolger Campiello — the grand terrace just behind Ca’ d’Zan — where servers passed champagne on silver trays and a custom bar offered signature cocktails. The combination of live music, artful hors d’oeuvres, and coastal views set the tone for a relaxed yet elevated experience.
To enhance the evening even further, the couple arranged for guests to enjoy a private stroll through the North Gallery of the museum. This curated moment offered a chance to engage with The Ringling’s celebrated art and architecture — a beautiful reflection of the couple’s appreciation for culture and detail. It was a gesture that reflected the couple’s love of culture, beauty, and storytelling.
Reception: Family-Style Elegance in the Courtyard
A Family-Style Dinner Under The Stars
As twilight fell, guests entered the Ringling Courtyard, where a grand family-style table awaited under the open evening sky.Soft candlelight and overhead market lights framed the space, evoking the charm of a dinner party in a European garden.
The table design featured:
- Layered linen textures in soft neutrals
- Potted florals in muted blush, dusty rose, and ivory
- Crystal glassware and silver flatware
- Custom menus and letterpress printing
Dinner unfolded in thoughtful courses: grilled peach salad, blackened grouper, and seared filet, each paired with wines personally selected from the couple’s favorite vineyards. The evening included toasts that were heartfelt and cinematic, a live music set, and subs to cap the night.
One of my favorite things about this Ringling Museum Wedding was how everything tied in so perfectly with the beauty of the grounds. From beginning to end, there were zero misses in beauty.
