I'm Kim — a DC luxury wedding photographer shooting weddings across the DMV, from Virginia estates to Capitol Hill cathedrals. I work quietly through a wedding day, directing only when it helps and otherwise letting things unfold, because the photos you'll come back to are rarely the posed ones. Whether your day is a garden celebration at River Farm, a Catholic ceremony at St. Joseph's, an intimate dinner at Rose's Luxury, or a private estate overlooking the Chesapeake, my approach stays the same: documentary at heart, editorial in the eye.
Washington's wedding scene spans a lot of ground, and I love that range — the formality of a Capitol Hill church, the garden quiet of River Farm along the Potomac in Alexandria, a design-forward celebration somewhere like Rose's Luxury, the privacy of a family estate on the Chesapeake Bay. Each one asks for something a little different from a photographer: knowing how a Catholic ceremony flows and where you can and can't move, reading changeable Mid-Atlantic light, working seamlessly with the planners and venues who make these days run. I shoot all of it with the same calm, editorial eye — so wherever in the DMV you're marrying, the work feels honest and elevated.

Booking Kim as our wedding photographer was the first thing I did when planning the wedding.
